Welcome to Genij Ortopedii !

We are pleased to offer you a scientific theoretical and practical journal Genij Ortopedii (Genius of Orthopaedics, ISSN 1028-4427) that has been published since 1995 in memory of Gavriil Abramovich Ilizarov, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and an innovator surgeon.

Since 2008, the journal in included in the list of peer-reviewed scientific journals recommended by the Supreme Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation for applicants for scientific degrees of doctor or candidate of medical sciences to submit their papers.

The journal was established by the State Federal Institution "Russian Ilizarov Scientific Centre for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics" of the ministry of health of the Russian Federation and the Kurgan Regional Foundation for High Medical Technologies.

The journal welcomes original articles in the field of orthopaedics and traumatology and in other associated medical fields that study injuries and diseases of the locomotors system: nanotechnology, cell therapy, physiology, morphology, biology, biochemistry, hematology, neurosurgery, angiology, rehabilitation, oncology, arthrology, microsurgery, craniofacial and plastic surgery, and veterinary. The papers dealing with orthopaedic service organization, imaging diagnosis, musculoskeletal system regeneration stimulation can also be considered by the Editorial board.

Studies in the field of transosseous osteosynthesis conducted by traumatologists and orthopaedic surgeons, its practical application, encountered errors and complications and ways of their correction are priority for publishing.

Alongside with scientific papers, the journal publishes information on congresses and conferences, history of medicine or life of prominent specialists, as well as book reviews and other information. Foreign and national companies can publish their advertisements on commercial basis.

The journal is including into ALL-RUSSIAN INSTITUTE of SCIENTIFIC and TECHNICAL INFORMATION of the Russian Academy of Sciences (VINITI RAN) databases, Ulrich's Periodicals Directory, and into the Russian index of scientific citations (RINC)

An electronic version of the journal is placed on the Scientific electronic library site http://www.elibrary.ru The journal is published quarterly in Russian with abstracts in English. Contributions of foreign authors are published in English.

The journal is distributed in Russia, CIS countries and abroad. You can make subscription or order the required issue.
